As the director of navigation at the LIVESTRONG Foundation, Melissa Stewart oversees the strategic planning, budgeting, operations, as well as process improvement for the LIVESTRONG navigation program, providing support to cancer patients and survivors via phone, in-person and by email. Additionally, Stewart sits on the Foundation?s leadership team and provides strategic direction and oversight to the organizational planning.
Stewart received her master?s degree in social work from Boston University in 2000. Her professional experience began within the clinical realm of social work in pediatric medical settings, working with children with chronic and terminal medical diagnosis. Stewart also advanced her medical social work experience by working in Hospice care.
