Alan Braly

Alan Braly is Senior Director, Data & Insights Delivery, at Foundation Medicine. He joined Foundation Medicine in early 2019. Braly established and currently leads the Data & Insights Delivery team, part of Foundation Medicine’s Global Portfolio Strategy group. In his role, he leads teams focused on building the platforms and data products enabling Foundation Medicine insights to transform cancer care for both clinical and biopharma collaborators, ensuring that patients and clinicians understand and choose the best treatment paths each time, and helping to accelerate the discovery and development of novel oncology therapeutics. Prior to Foundation Medicine, Braly focused on healthcare technology commercialization at Harvard as a Blavatnik Fellow in Life Sciences Entrepreneurship, which included launching a startup founded to commercialize an interventional oncology medical device. He was previously at Health Advances, a boutique healthcare strategy consulting firm, where he led engagements in diagnostics, therapeutics, medical devices, and healthcare technology and services, and helped develop and deploy analytics tools based on real-world data sources. He began his career in implantable medical device research and development at Medtronic. Braly holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an SM in Health Science & Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
